When LEGOLAND® Billund opens its doors for the 2026 season, a new, breathtaking experience awaits the whole family. It will be the opening of Minifigure Speedway – a roller coaster with a fast-paced race where two LEGO® cars compete side by side, both forward and backward, in a thrilling duel to the finish line. At the same time, the world's largest LEGO minifigures will meet visitors.

The new attraction will be the park’s first dueling family roller coaster, featuring both impressive LEGO theming and a colorful story that begins in line and culminates in the finish photo. Guests can choose between Team Legends or Team All Stars – two rival racing teams, each with a crazy lineup of minifigures. Characters include the popular Corn Cob Guy and Banana Guy, who have strong opinions on which is the best fuel for winning – popcorn or banana juice.

– What makes Minifigure Speedway so unique is the competitive element. Guests can challenge each other and see who emerges victorious from the race – it is never predetermined who wins, says Michael Ottesen, Managing Director at LEGOLAND Billund.

The attraction will be centrally located in the park, between Knights' Kingdom and Adventure Land, and with its almost 17 meters in height, it will be a spectacular addition to the area.

A 9-meter-tall minifigure takes its place in LEGOLAND

Outside the Minifigure Speedway, visitors will be greeted by one of the world’s largest LEGO minifigures: a 30-foot statue of Roxie, the most legendary racing driver in LEGOLAND history. Roxie is an icon in the racing world, and although she is now retired, she acts as a host and cheerleader for both teams.

“Roxie will be a fantastic addition to the Minifigure Speedway universe. She will be visible all over the area – even from planes landing at Billund Airport. We are really looking forward to welcoming her to the park,” says Michael Ottesen.

Construction work is already in full swing and Minifigure Speedway will be inaugurated at the same time as LEGOLAND® Billund opens for the 2026 season.

According to the press release.
