Scandic continues to invest in Stavanger and is now opening a new Scandic Go hotel, offering 152 rooms in one of the city's most central buildings. Work will start in 2027 and the doors will open to guests the following year.
The interest in Scandic Go is high, as evidenced by the rapid pace of establishment of new hotels that strengthen the brand's position in the Nordic region. The new hotel in Stavanger is located in a renovated property in the Anker Quarter, an area being developed by property owner SVG Property. Stavanger offers a unique mix of energy, culture and nature, making the city attractive to both business and leisure travelers, with expectations of continued increased demand in the future.

Scandic currently has five hotels in Stavanger, and with the new Scandic Go, the offer for visitors to the city is broadened. Scandic Go combines value for money with smart design and simple self-service, perfect for the modern traveler who wants to stay centrally close to the pulse of the city. Everything here is adapted for a smooth stay: food and drink are available 24 hours a day and there are practical amenities such as a washing machine.

The Norwegian hotel market is expected to continue to grow, which creates good conditions for new investments and expansion, preferably in collaboration with long-term property partners such as SVG Property, says Jesper Engman, Chief Development Officer at Scandic Hotels Group.
Like the majority of Scandic hotels, the hotel operations will be certified with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, the official Nordic ecolabel. Recycled materials have been prioritized at the hotel, for example chairs made from coffee grounds and table tops made from recycled textiles.
The hotel in Stavanger is the third planned Scandic Go hotel in Norway. Scandic Go establishments have previously been announced in Oslo and most recently in Tromsø.
