14 new lift benches make it easy to carpool and create meetings between both locals and visitors.

The initiative aims to make Funen's beautiful nature easier to reach for both visitors and locals. The new lift benches open up more opportunities to travel smoothly between different places – in both an environmentally friendly and social way. Here, tourists can meet locals, maybe get a good tip about a hidden gem in the area, or just share a nice trip together. The first two test benches are located in Falsled and Haastrup, where they will provide valuable experience for the next step. With the lessons learned from the pilot project, the concept can be developed further, before a further 12 benches are placed around Funen in 2026.

The lift benches have a clear and distinctive design that makes it immediately clear what they are for. They are not only practical to use, but also serve as a symbol of hospitality and outdoor life – a welcoming feature for anyone who wants to discover the nature of Funen and the nearby islands.
