Normally, 18 weeks in advance is required for train companies to be able to provide timely notification of train departures.
But the Swedish Transport Administration will only be able to keep to that plan in December. This is stated by Roberto Maiorana, the Swedish Transport Administration's Director General, in Ekot's Saturday interview.
During the autumn, the authority introduced a new planning system that has caused problems for train traffic several times.
– Now we have said that we will be able to manage it when we enter a new train schedule and we will do so in December. Until then, we will work towards better forecasting already here and now, says Roberto Maiorana.
