Boeing's grounded 737 Max has recently encountered a new technical fault. The problem was located in the plane's flight computers, according to a source with knowledge of the matter. It reports CNN Business.

The error was discovered during the start-up of the aircraft's computers and, according to the source, the problem has nothing to do with the two crashes that took place last year in which 346 people died. The problem allegedly does not occur during flight but rather when the plane is on the ground.

The source further said that the test was carried out to find precisely this type of problem and that Boeing will now fix the problem. 

In a statement, the aircraft manufacturer stated that they are making necessary updates and that they are working with the US Federal Aviation Administration, FAA. 

”"Our highest priority is to ensure that the 737 Max is safe and meets all regulatory requirements before returning to service," the company further wrote in the statement, according to CNN Business.
