SMHI issues a new yellow warning for torrential rain. It is expected to occur during Friday afternoon and evening in large parts of Götaland, parts of western and inner Svealand. Locally, up to 30–40 millimeters of rain can fall in a short time and cause flooding in basements and stormwater systems.

SMHI urges homeowners to clean gutters, stormwater drains and other waterways.

Exactly where the heaviest rainfall will fall is unclear.
