On March 12th, Nextjet will begin operating a new flight route between Gothenburg Landvetter Airport and Umeå Airport with 32 flights per week.
The line between Gothenburg and Umeå will connect two major cities that are currently only accessible by a stopover.
Nextjet already operates the Sundsvall-Gothenburg and Luleå-Gothenburg routes. With the new route, Nextjet covers a larger part of Sweden than any other airline, with an emphasis particularly on Norrland, where direct routes to Gothenburg are becoming increasingly strong.
The Umeå-Gothenburg route will be operated with a jet aircraft with seating for 50 passengers. The route will be operated with a morning and evening return flight, and one flight at midday, Monday to Friday, as well as a return flight on Sundays. The journey time will be 1 hour and 25 minutes.
– We are delighted that Nextjet is expanding with a new route between Gothenburg and Umeå, as there is a need for increased traffic between the cities. The new direct route will make it easier for both business travellers and students, as well as others, to visit family and friends in a more convenient way, says Charlotte Ljunggren, Airport Director at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport.
