Nine dead in plane crash in Caribbean

Nine people have died in a failed emergency landing at Las Américas International Airport in the capital Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

The accident plane was en route to Florida in the United States and had taken off from nearby La Isabela airport when some type of emergency arose, writes Listín Diario.

The airline Helidosa, which owns the plane that crashed, says it is shocked by the tragic accident and that everyone on board died.
