No après ski on Swedish ski slopes this winter

Anyone who was looking forward to going to après ski during their ski trip this winter may have to think again. Due to the corona pandemic and the restrictions that apply, several ski resorts are choosing to put an end to it, reports Sveriges Radio Ekot.

”"There will be no nightclub or après ski activities in Åre this winter," says Therese Sjölundh, CEO of the destination company in Åre, to the radio.

Sälen and Vemdalen also have the same plans. Among other things, the number of guests in restaurants will be limited.

”"There is a very great insight and ambition to achieve this in a very good way. And I don't see après ski in the sense that it has existed this season, but a nice hangout after a turn that is safe," says Skistar destination manager in Vemdalen Anders Lundqvist.

Several ski resorts stopped all après-ski activities in the spring when the spread of the virus took off in Sweden.
