For the first time since 1803, there will be no Christmas mass at the French cathedral Notre-Dame.
Instead, the traditional midnight mass will be held in the nearby church of Saint-Germain l'Auxerrois, the fire-ravaged cathedral's press service announced.
It was on April 15th of this year that Notre-Dame – which is listed on the UN body UNESCO's World Heritage List – was severely damaged by fire and, among other things, lost its Gothic spire.
