No more provisional passports at Arlanda

Travelers from Arlanda would be wise to double-check that their passport is included. Now the last lifeline is disappearing when the passport police close their office at the airport.

The production of provisional passports is being moved from Arlanda to the police stations in Farsta, Norrmalm and Sollentuna. The idea is to make it more accessible for those applying for provisional passports, as those police stations are closer to more citizens.

”"We want to increase the opportunity for citizens to apply for provisional passports and at the same time increase the quality of our work," writes Paul Nilsson, acting chief of staff, Stockholm Police Region, in a comment.

”We expect that the decision to open three stations for the processing of provisional passports, instead of one station as it is today, will benefit both citizens and staff.”

The last day to apply for a provisional passport at Arlanda is November 3.
