The Arlanda Express train that derailed on Saturday damaged the rails.

No trains have been able to stop at Arlanda since the accident and traffic is now being diverted via Märsta.

SL announces on its website that the damage is "extensive" and that it is expected to be repaired in a week at the earliest.

According to Ekot, the Accident Investigation Board has seen signs of a defect in the rails.

”"We follow the tracks and look for the first place where the train started to derail. Then we look for reasons for the derailment. Then we have found an indication of a part of the track that we want to look at more closely," says Mikael Hillbo, the Swedish Accident Investigation Board's track investigator, to Ekot.

For the time being, we refer to alternative modes of travel such as bus, taxi or your own car.
