At the end of August, Nobis Hospitality Group is expanding its presence in the Spanish hotel market with the five-star Nobis Hotel Palma. This will be the hotel group's second project on the Spanish Mediterranean island, following the successful opening of Concepcio by Nobis in 2021. In a historic building that was built as a Muslim palace back in the Middle Ages, Nobis is collaborating with its architectural partner Wingårdhs as it has done several times before. Nobis Hotels is the group's five-star flagship concept, which has previously been represented in Stockholm (Nobis Hotel Stockholm, 2010) and Copenhagen (Nobis Hotel Copenhagen, 2017).
At the end of August 2023, the five-star Nobis Hotel Palma will open in a historic part of the Mallorcan capital. Nobis Hotel Palma boasts 37 rooms and suites, the NOI restaurant, a magnificent lounge with 9-meter ceilings, a roof terrace with bar service, a SPA, a lush sun terrace with sunbeds, two courtyards and two smaller meeting rooms. Eye-catching arches, columns and original walls are combined with modern design. Casual elegance, inviting warmth and a timeless interior that becomes more beautiful with age are the key words in the hotel group's fifth project together with Wingårdhs.
The unique building, dating back to the 12th century, has been carefully renovated in collaboration with the architectural and interior design partner Wingårdhs, led by Helena Toresson and Gert Wingårdh, and the Spanish house architects Jordi Herrero Arquitectos and Eduardo Garcia Acuna Arquitecto. With almost 1,000 years under its belt, the building has a unique history with many layers. Over the years, the Muslim palace has served as, among other things, a fortress, a private home for noble families and a gathering place for folk dancing. To tell the story of the building's long life, a large part of the renovation has involved stripping away and allowing original materials and structures to take their place.

Nobis Hotel’s signature restaurant NOI draws its culinary inspiration from European cuisines and the city in which it is located. Using ingredients from Mallorca and mainland Spain, NOI Palma offers a dining experience with flavors of the Mediterranean and the Spanish countryside. The menu is by Xema Álvarez, the Mallorcan chef behind Concepcio by Nobis’ popular restaurant Xalest.
Nobis Hotel Palma and restaurant NOI Palma will open their doors at the end of August 2023.
