Nordea loses top name – goes to Finnair

Nordea is losing its head of personal banking, Topi Manner, who will become the new CEO of Finnair.

Topi Manner, who is also a member of the Group Management Team, will leave the bank at the end of 2018, according to a press release.

Topi Manner has worked as CEO of Nordea Bank Finland and Head of Banking Finland and Baltics. Since 2016, Topi has been Head of Personal Banking in all countries, a member of the Group Management Team and Branch Manager of Nordea Bank's branch in Finland.

The search for a new Head of Personal Banking has been launched, both internally and externally. Topi Manning will remain at Nordea until the end of 2018 and will start at Finnair on 1 January 2019.

Finnair's current CEO Pekka Vauramo is leaving the airline to become CEO of Metso Group. Until Topi Manning begins his position, Finnair's CFO Pekka Vähähyyppä will be acting CEO.
