The airline Norwegian flew 1.4 million passengers in April, an increase of around 50 percent compared to March, according to a traffic report.

The figure represents a doubling compared to February, which is taken as a strong indication that the desire to travel has returned among customers, according to a comment from CEO Geir Karlsen.
