Norwegian launches direct flights to Lyon – with proximity to ski resorts in the French Alps

The company is launching a new direct route between Stockholm Arlanda and Lyon in France, with the first departure in January 2023. Lyon is a strategically good destination to fly to to get to some of the most popular ski resorts in the French Alps.

–We are pleased to be able to offer travelers in Sweden direct flights to Lyon, which is only a couple of hours' drive from attractive ski resorts such as Val d'Isère, Les Deux Alpes and Les Arcs. But Lyon is also a destination in itself with plenty to see and do. We look forward to welcoming travelers on board this new route during the winter season, says Magnus Thome Maursund, Chief Commercial Officer at Norwegian.

In addition to the most famous ski resorts of Val d'Isère, Alpe d'Huez, Les Deux Alpes and Les Arcs, which are around two and a half hours' drive from Lyon airport, there are many smaller ski resorts closer by, such as Autrans, Meaudre, Chamrousse and Gresse-en-Vercors.

Lyon is also known as the gastronomic capital of France and offers not only fantastic food, but also beautiful buildings and a rich cultural offering. In the old town district of Vieux Lyon you will find old architecture with many attractions and restaurants.

Stockholm Arlanda – Lyon
The route between Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) and Lyon (LYS) will be operated on Saturdays starting January 21, 2023. It is a winter route that will operate until March 2023.

Ski enthusiasts can also fly to Geneva, Nice and Salzburg with Norwegian to continue to more popular ski resorts in the Alps.

According to the press release.
