Norwegian has been named ”Europe’s Best Low-Cost Airline 2020” by the World Travel Awards – one of the travel industry’s finest and most recognized awards ceremonies globally. This is the sixth consecutive year that Norwegian has received this prestigious accolade.
The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 with the aim of recognizing, celebrating and rewarding the best players globally in the travel industry, and it is representatives from the industry who vote for their favorites.
– COVID-19 has impacted the travel industry globally and has meant that Norwegian has faced unprecedented challenges in 2020. Throughout this extended crisis, we have remained focused on our customers by continuing to fly key domestic and European routes. Winning the award ”Europe’s Best Low-Cost Airline” for the sixth year in a row is further proof that our dedicated and committed employees around the world are truly Rednose Warriors,” says Norwegian’s CEO Jacob Schram.
”Despite the incredibly difficult challenges the airline industry has faced this year, Norwegian has shown great strength and continued to offer excellent service. Well done Norwegian on taking home the award for ”Europe’s Best Low-Cost Airline’ for the sixth year in a row,” says World Travel Awards founder and CEO Graham E. Cooke.
