Norwegian is expanding its existing Boeing order by exercising its option to purchase an additional 30 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. This brings the total order to 80 aircraft. In connection with the exercise of the option, Norwegian and Boeing have agreed to adjust a number of delivery dates, with the last aircraft on the order to be delivered in 2031.

This is a decision that follows Norwegian's stock exchange announcement in May 2022 when the company announced an agreement to purchase 50 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, including an option for an additional 30 aircraft.

The expanded order goes hand in hand with Norwegian's ambitions for growth in the coming years. The updated delivery plan enables an efficient and balanced renewal of the aircraft fleet, in line with lease expirations and market developments.

For passengers, the new aircraft mean a more comfortable flight with both lower noise levels and emissions. The order also further strengthens Norwegian's fleet strategy by ensuring a modern and fuel-efficient fleet with lower operating costs compared to the previous generation of aircraft.
