Norwegian Air had a 24 percent decrease in passenger traffic in January, compared to the same month in 2019, according to a press release.

The Norwegian airline's yield, which shows revenue per passenger kilometer, was 0.40 kronor in the month (0.35), which adds up to an increase of 15 percent year-on-year, while revenue per available seat kilometer (RASK) was 0.32 kronor (0.26), an increase of 22 percent year-on-year.

Capacity was 20 percent lower in the period, compared to a year earlier.

The occupancy rate was 80.9 percent, 4.8 percentage points higher than the comparable period last year.

Punctuality in January was 87 percent.
