Norwegian Reward passes ten million members

Remove

Norwegian's Reward loyalty program has surpassed ten million members. At the same time, the airline is revamping the structure with five clearer status levels and automatic benefits.

The five levels of Norwegian Reward are named Member, Traveller, Bronze, Silver and Gold. For every eight trips completed with Norwegian or Widerøe, the member moves up one level.

According to Norwegian, the change is mainly about making it clearer what status the member has, what benefits are included and what is required to reach the next level. The loyalty program itself is basically the same as before.

– We want to make it even easier and more motivating to be a Reward member. Now it will be easier to see where you are in the loyalty program, what is required to reach the next level and what benefits you have achieved, says Magnus Thome Maursund, Commercial Director at Norwegian.

Benefits are automatically selected

When a member reaches a new level, a benefit is automatically assigned. The member can then switch to another benefit.

Norwegian is also making status and benefits more visible in the Rewards app. The membership card can now also be added to the mobile digital wallet.

– Reward has grown to over ten million members and we want to continue to develop the program in step with our customers, says Magnus Thome Maursund.

Widerøe integrated into Reward

The loyalty program also includes Widerøe. According to Norwegian, the proportion of Widerøe customers who register their Reward number when booking has already reached the same level as in Widerøe's previous loyalty program.

In the Nordics, Spenn is used as the points currency in Norwegian Reward. Members can earn and use Spenn on flights and at affiliated partners.
