The airline Norwegian is scaling up traffic in its program for the summer half of 2022. In total, the company will fly on 259 routes within and outside the Nordic region, according to a press release.

Norwegian's CEO Geir Karlsen says in a comment that the company has noticed growing demand from customers in recent months, after being hit hard by travel restrictions and quarantine requirements in 2020 and 2021.

The distribution of the routes is 136 in Norway, 54 in Denmark, 53 in Sweden and 26 in Finland.

”"Norwegian is now well-positioned to survive through 2022, even though we will be partially affected by the pandemic in the future. We have significant flexibility in the use of our aircraft and, after the restructuring, have lower debt, an adapted aircraft fleet and organization, and we have received new capital," says Geir Karlsen.
