The grounding of the 737 Max 8 aircraft is leading Norwegian to postpone the sale of six 737-800 aircraft, which will instead be kept in service.

Norwegian writes this in a press release.

Norwegian further writes that the company is in close contact with Boeing and the EU aviation safety authority. To minimize the impact on the airline's and passengers' finances, the 787 Dreamliner model has also been deployed on certain high-traffic routes.

”"We have a good dialogue with Boeing and are convinced that we will reach a constructive agreement," writes Norwegian, which previously stated its intention to request compensation from the aircraft manufacturer for the costs incurred by the flight stoppage.
