Norwegian's traffic figures for June are still affected by travel restrictions and low traffic. At the same time, there is a clear increase in the number of orders in line with increased vaccination and easing of travel restrictions and quarantine requirements.

This is stated in a press release from the Norwegian airline.

In June, 225,509 customers flew with Norwegian, which is approximately double the number of customers in the same period last year. Compared to June 2020, total capacity (ASK) increased by 182 percent and passenger traffic (RPK) by 102 percent. The cabin load factor for June was 62.9 percent, a decrease of 25 percentage points compared to last year.

”"We continue to adapt the route network depending on demand this summer, but also during the autumn and the coming winter," comments Norwegian's CEO Geir Karlsen.

In June, Norwegian had 15 aircraft in operation. In total, Norwegian operated 99.9 percent of its scheduled flights in June, of which 94.1 percent were on schedule.
