Norwegian has decided not to fly over Ukrainian airspace due to the tense security situation, reports Norwegian TV2.
The company has no direct flights to the country but normally flies over the western parts in connection with flights to Hungary and Turkey.
”"Generally speaking, we don't fly over Ukraine very much. After the MH17 accident, we have avoided the eastern parts of Ukraine," says Communications Director Esben Tuman to TV2.
Several companies have recently made similar decisions, including British Airways, while Dutch KLM has stopped all flights to the country.
