Norwegian's subsidiary Arctic Aviation Assets is selling two Airbus 320neo aircraft, the company writes in a press release.
The aircraft are currently leased and are therefore not used by the company, Norwegian writes.
Delivery will take place this month.
The transaction is expected to increase Norwegian's liquidity by $26 million after debt is repaid upon completion.
The company announced a week ago that it had taken out new loans, which caused the share price to fall sharply.
”"The possibility of selling aircraft was one of the measures that was highlighted at the time as an opportunity to reduce expenses, in addition to postponing aircraft deliveries," the low-cost company writes.
”"The sale is in line with the company's strategy to shift focus from growth and towards profitability," it says.
