The airline Norwegian is canceling two direct routes to the USA and the domestic route between Skellefteå and Arlanda is also under threat – this is due to the new aviation tax.

This is reported by Dagens Industri. It concerns direct flights from Arlanda to Las Vegas and Oakland/San Francisco.

Norwegian also announces that it is slowing down its expansion in Sweden and that the flight route between Arlanda and Skellefteå is under acute threat.

– The aviation tax has the effect that we do not invest as much in Sweden as we would like to do, says Charlotte Holmbergh Jacobsson to Di.
