Norwegian cancels flights to Dubai

Remove

The Norwegian airline Norwegian has canceled its flights between Oslo and Dubai on Saturday and Sunday, writes Daily Paper.

This depends on "the security situation in the region".

– Affected passengers have been informed and we are working to rebook them as soon as the situation allows, says Norwegian's press spokesperson Lina Lindegaard Carlsen to Dagbladet.

There is one round trip flight on Saturday and one on Sunday. There are no Norwegian flights between Arlanda and Dubai during the weekend.

Dagbladet writes that several other major airlines – such as Air France, KLM and Lufthansa – have also canceled flights to the Middle East, due to increased tensions between Iran and the US. Norwegian refers to ”the recently escalated tension” but does not specify exactly what the canceled flights are due to.

After the weekend, the airline will make "ongoing assessments".
