Norwegian executives Gier Karlsen and Jacob Scharm received 11 million Norwegian kroner in bonuses. The low-cost airline was accused of rewarding the current and former CEOs with coronavirus relief money, NRK reports.
The matter has now been investigated and, according to Minister of Industry and Trade Iselin Nybø, no errors have been committed.,
– Norwegian claims that they have stayed within the legal obligations contained in the agreement with the state and that the state support has not gone towards bonuses, says Nybø in a press release.
