The airline Norwegian warns that the unexpectedly weak development of the Norwegian krone will impact its results for the fourth quarter of 2024.

Norwegian now expects operating profit for the full year 2024 to be 1.85 billion kronor, compared to the average forecast among analysts for a profit of 2.1 billion kronor before the so-called profit warning.

On the Oslo Stock Exchange, the reaction to the currency shock is clear. Norwegian's share initially fell by over 10 percent after the announcement, but recovered slightly to a decline of almost 6 percent in morning trading.
