Chinese people still need to apply for a visa to Norway. Norwegians traveling to China for visits of up to fifteen days do not need to apply for a visa. This was clarified during Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre's official visit to China.
Chinese people do not have the same opportunity when they travel to Norway.

– Norway is bound by the Schengen countries' common visa policy and therefore, like other Schengen member states, cannot offer a similar arrangement in return.

This is what the Ministry of Justice and Emergency Preparedness writes in an email to NRK.
