The effects of COVID-19 continue to be significant for Norwegian airline demand, which is reflected in the traffic figures for January.
74,000 customers flew with Norwegian during the month, a decrease of 96 percent compared to the same month a year earlier.
Capacity (ASK) decreased by 98 percent and total passenger traffic measured as RPK was down by 99 percent.
”"The pandemic continues to negatively impact our operations through continued travel restrictions. We are doing everything in our power to emerge from bankruptcy protection as a stronger and more competitive airline," says CEO Jacob Schram.
Norwegian flew with just eight planes in January, mainly on routes within Norway.
