Replacement flights will soon be negotiated on the routes that lost their traffic when the airline Nextjet went bankrupt the other week, TT learns.
When Nextjet filed for bankruptcy on May 16, several smaller towns in the northern part of Sweden lost their transport connections to the outside world. The government and the Swedish Transport Administration promised to negotiate replacement traffic with other airlines on some of the affected routes as quickly as possible.
And according to TT's information, there are several airlines that are interested, with an announcement expected tomorrow, Wednesday.
The routes that are primarily concerned are those between Stockholm and Vilhelmina, Lycksele and Hemavan, while the routes from Stockholm to Gällivare and Arvidsjaur must be procured according to EU rules. This will therefore take longer.
