The municipality announces a strike for employees at the Liseberg amusement park in Gothenburg.

The reason is that Visita has said no to part-time employees receiving the same high overtime compensation as full-time employees, according to the union.

– What we are demanding is completely reasonable. In addition, we have just reached an agreement with SKR and Sobona on the same thing. So all part-time employees in the city of Gothenburg, Got event and the region have been given the right to overtime compensation, but the employees at Liseberg should not get it? We can never accept that, says Malin Ragnegård, union chairwoman at Kommunal, in a press release.

The professional groups affected include repairmen, park caretakers, janitors and gardeners, according to Kommunal.

If the parties do not reach an agreement, the strike will begin on April 26 at 8:00 a.m.
