Around 200 Dutch people are heading to Rhodes to live in isolation at a holiday resort for a week. If the holiday is successful, Greece hopes to boost its tourism again.
Many countries have closed their borders to tourists during the pandemic, which has had a major impact on the economy. Greece has therefore chosen to allow 200 Dutch people on a ”test holiday” in Rhodes to see if they can start receiving tourists again.
– From a scale of 1 to 100, I'm at 200. I'm for this 200 percent, says a Dutch tourist.
All tourists have tested negative for COVID-19 prior to departure and will only be allowed to stay inside the resort for the duration of their vacation.
