After the closure – now the plan is taking off again.
In Hong Kong, traffic at the airport is now back on track, Hong Kong's local authorities said, according to AFP.
Earlier today, all flights were canceled because thousands of people had gathered at the airport to protest.
The protests in Hong Kong began in May after the city's leadership presented a now-shelved bill that would have made it possible to extradite suspected criminals to mainland China.
The proposal was seen as a way to limit the independence that Hong Kong has had since 1997.
