Orange snow warning over Gotland

SMHI has issued an orange warning for wind and snow in eastern Gotland. Other parts of the island may also be affected by severe weather.

The warning is valid from Monday, December 12 at 7:00 PM until Tuesday, December 13 at 12:00 PM.

Orange warning is the second highest on SMHI's scale.

According to the forecast, snowfall of 5-10 centimeters is expected, but locally it could be 30-40 centimeters.

It will blow 7-12 meters per second.

”"At sea and over mainly the northern and western coastal strips including the Fårö area, gusts of around 20-23 m/s are expected," writes SMHI.
