Applications for compensation are pouring in after many people had to wait a long time for their new passports.

So far, just over 500 reports have been received by the police.
A person SVT spoke to has been waiting for his new passport since March 16.
The Central Police Region handles applications from all over Sweden.
”"The cases are under processing. I cannot therefore currently say how the Police Authority will assess the requirements, since an assessment is made in each individual case," writes Lena Dimander, group manager at the police legal unit in the Central region, to SVT.
