Tallink Grupp has announced that Paavo Nõgene, who has been the company's CEO for eight years, will be leaving his position in the spring. His last day in the management group will be 22 May 2026.

– Paavo Nõgene has been an outstanding leader for Tallink Grupp during some of the most challenging crisis years. I want to express my deep appreciation for his strong commitment and the significant work he has done in leading the company through these difficult times. Tallink Grupp stands strong today and is well-equipped for the future, says Enn Pant, Chairman of the Board of Tallink Grupp.

– As a leader, one must evaluate whether they are still adding value to the organisation, or if they risk becoming an obstacle to its future development. After eight years as CEO of Tallink Grupp, and after having led the company through three major crises: the pandemic, the war, and the economic downturn in our countries of operation, it is now the right time to hand over the baton, so that a new leader can take over and continue to develop and guide Tallink Grupp, says outgoing CEO Paavo Nõgene.

– I would like to extend a warm thank you to Tallink Grupp’s nearly five thousand fantastic colleagues, to all leaders within our various business areas, and to the board for their outstanding collaboration. Tallink is an exceptionally strong company with fantastic employees, for whom I have the greatest respect. I would also like to thank the media for their constructive and positive collaboration over the years, Nõgene concludes.

The Board of Directors of Tallink Grupp will commence work on recruiting a new CEO.
