Passenger lift for Lufthansa in July

Lufthansa transported 14.2 million passengers in July, an increase of 8.2 percent year-on-year.

The cabin load factor, which measures how full the planes are, rose by 0.1 percentage points to 86.3 percent during the month.

Capacity, ASK, rose by 7.0 percent, while Lufthansa's sales increased by 7.0 percent. On the cargo side, capacity increased by 1.8 percent. The company's low-cost venture Eurowings recorded 3.9 million passengers during the month. 3.6 million of these were attributable to short-haul flights.

The number of passengers represents growth of 16.9 percent compared to the corresponding period last year.
