Passengers who have tested negative for the new coronavirus and who show no symptoms of being infected are now allowed to leave the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Yokohama, Japan.

Around 500 people will leave the ship in the coming days. Authorities say it will take up to three days while they await test results.

Over 500 passengers on board have been infected with the disease and taken to special hospitals in Japan.
