After an extensive recruitment process with over 100 candidates, the board of directors of Visit Trelleborg has appointed Pehr Palm as the new CEO. In a highly competitive field, Pehr proved to be the best person to lead the organization through an important period of change and who, with his broad network of contacts, can contribute to the continued growth and success of Trelleborg. With his solid experience in destination development and event planning, as well as his strong collaborative skills, Pehr is the ideal person to take Visit Trelleborg and its tourism potential to the next level and strengthen the city's attractiveness for both visitors and residents.
Pehr Palm will assume his new role no later than January 1, 2025.
Pehr most recently came from the role of planning strategist at Kristianstad Municipality's Department of Business and Communication, but is best known nationally for his previous success as CEO of Event in Skåne AB, which in collaboration with partners attracted over 600 events to the region. He has also worked as marketing manager at Stockholm Visitors Board, which has further broadened his experience in tourism and marketing.
Pehr Palm looks forward to continuing Visit Trelleborg's journey: ”It is with great enthusiasm that I take on the role of CEO of Visit Trelleborg. Visit Trelleborg has undergone strategic development in recent years that has strengthened the municipality's position as an attractive destination. Through collaboration with local and regional stakeholders, the focus has been on brand building, event development and strengthening the tourist offer.
