Skellefteå Airport has recruited Per Hedblad to the role of new Technical Manager. He will take up his position on 1 October 2026 and after a handover and introduction period, he will take over full responsibility as Technical Manager at Skellefteå Airport on 1 January 2027.

Per Hedblad most recently came from the position as unit manager at Boliden Rönnskär. During his professional career, he has built up extensive expertise in technical maintenance, project management and business development through roles such as unit manager, section manager, maintenance engineer and maintenance technician. His experience of technical operations, maintenance and leadership in operations with high demands on safety, quality and structure is considered to be well suited for the complex and mission-critical role of technical manager at Skellefteå Airport.

Per Hedblad succeeds Per-Erik Morén, who after a long and valued career at the airport will retire in early 2027. During his many years at Skellefteå Airport, Per-Erik has played a crucial role in the development of the airport's technical infrastructure and operations. To ensure effective knowledge transfer, Per Hedblad and Per-Erik Morén will work in parallel during a transition period.

– We are very pleased to welcome Per Hedblad to Skellefteå Airport. His experience, leadership and technical expertise make him very well suited for the assignment. The recruitment strengthens our long-term ability to develop and manage safe, efficient and sustainable airport operations, says Robert Lindberg, CEO of Skellefteå Airport.

– At the same time, we would like to extend a big thank you to Per-Erik Morén for his many years of contributions. His expertise and commitment have been of great importance to the airport's development and we are pleased to be able to carry out a well-planned generational change within such an important function, says Robert Lindberg.

– It feels exciting and very fun to take on the role of technical manager at Skellefteå Airport. The airport's technical systems are of course crucial for a functioning and safe airport infrastructure that is so important for Skellefteå's accessibility. With my experience of structural environments with high security, I feel both comfortable and enthusiastic about my new assignment, says Per Hedblad.
