Norway's hotel king Petter Stordalen is stepping up his efforts in the publishing industry.
His company Strawberry Publishing buys the Norwegian publisher Juritzen, which publishes fiction, detective stories, and children's and non-fiction books.
Juritzen's featured authors include a number of Norwegian crime writers, and the publisher has also had financial success with the rights to American Cecilia Samartin's books.
”"2018 was fun. In 2019 we thought we would step it up a bit," Strawberry Publishing writes in a message to its employees, according to Dagens Næringsliv.
Strawberry Publishing was founded by Petter Stordalen last year and has former TV presenter Sarah Natasha Melbye as its publishing director. Stordalen had also planned to start another publishing house within the group together with Isabella Löwengrip, but the Swedish blogger and businesswoman announced in October that she had withdrawn from the collaboration.
