The Strawberry hotel group will take over the name of the national arena in Solna after concluding a long-term naming rights agreement with Stockholm Live, which operates the arena. For Strawberry, the partnership means an opportunity to continue to contribute to the success of the arena, but also to be able to drive development in the tourism industry and business in the capital region.

With the ambition to drive development in the industry in a number of different areas, Strawberry hopes to contribute to positive change and make our community a better place to live, work and travel to. Strawberry has been in the arena city with two hotels for several years, of which the Quality Hotel opened before the arena and has been home to a number of sports profiles and world artists on tour. Together with other players in the area, Strawberry continuously contributes to the area developing and attracting visitors from all over the world.

– Having the opportunity to become a name partner for the Nordic region's largest arena for year-round events gives us another opportunity to be involved in driving positive development in society. The tourism industry contributes hundreds of thousands of jobs, billions in revenue to the business community and is a natural way to integrate people who are excluded into working life. What makes the tourism industry unique is the people who work in it, the guests who take part in the experiences and the emotions this creates, says Petter Stordalen, founder of Strawberry.

Unforgettable experiences are in the hotel group's DNA and the arena will continue to be an arena for great emotions; on stage, on the field and in the stands. An arena filled with joy, hope, tears and world-class experiences.

– For us, it's not about the restaurant, the meeting rooms, the gym or the spa facilities. Actually, it's not even about our hotels or Strawberry Arena. It's about the people, the joy, the pulse and the excitement. Sometimes the tears, the hope and the euphoria, continues Petter Stordalen.

Strawberry currently has more than 240 hotels in the Nordic region, restaurants, spas and meeting facilities for several thousand participants. With 20,000 employees, half of whom are in Sweden, the company has 176 nationalities with different backgrounds and ethnicities. Focus on diversity and inclusion has been core values since the company was founded over 25 years ago and as the new name partner for the arena in Solna, Strawberry wishes to celebrate the diversity of experiences that take place there through the concept “Room for Emotions”.

– The arena is an important meeting place for the football world, both as one of Sweden's national stadiums for the Swedish national teams, and for AIK, which has its home here. In addition, the arena represents a diversity of experiences and events to the delight of different people with different interests. The same applies to Strawberry, with our different hotel chains and concepts adapted to different target groups, and that is precisely why we see our collaboration with the arena as a perfect match. In our hotels and all other places where people meet us, says Emilie Stordalen, who leads the arena collaboration

The partnership is well in line with Strawberry's ambition to offer a wide range of experiences to guests, members and customers together with Stockholm Live, which operates the arena.

– We welcome Strawberry as a new name partner and look forward to continuing to develop the arena's role as the center of experiences and events in the Nordic region, comments Michael Yngvesson, General Manager of Strawberry Arena at Stockholm Live. It will be a flying start to the collaboration with Bruce Springsteen's concerts next week, PINK and AIK's next home match – all this in July alone!
