An Easyjet pilot has been suspended after he flew too close to a mountain, reports say Manchester Evening News.

It was during a flight between Manchester and Egypt, with 190 people on board, that the pilot flew the plane far too close to the mountain. The incident occurred as the plane flew over land.

Easyjet states that they are investigating the accident and that the pilot has been suspended in the meantime.

”"Safety is the top priority for all our pilots, they are trained to the highest industry standards, undergo rigorous testing and are closely monitored," the airline told the newspaper.
