A small plane has crashed in the Caribbean Bahamas, reports the BBC.
The crash occurred near the capital Nassau on the island nation's Independence Day, July 10. The nine passengers and the plane's pilot have died.
"Today is a day of celebration but has become a day of mourning," Prime Minister Philip Davies said at a press conference on Friday.
The Cessna plane was flown by Bahamas-based Flamingo Air.
