Minutes after taking off for Shanghai on Tuesday night, a plane turned back to Los Angeles International Airport and made an emergency landing. All was well – except for 40 people on the ground who were drenched in dumped jet fuel. 33 of them are children at various schools. Some suffered skin irritation and shortness of breath, but none required hospital treatment, according to NBC.
