Several police patrols, rescue services and ambulances have been called to the airport.

According to information provided to Aftonbladet, one person was arrested early in the operation and the police are also looking for suspicious luggage.

The police are tight-lipped about details of the operation, but confirm that they are on site with several patrols.

– What I can say is that we are working on an investigation that I cannot go into any details about, says Per Fahlström, press spokesperson for the Stockholm police.

According to Per Fahlström, the police case currently has no impact on the airport and air traffic.

The airport confirms that an operation is underway.

– We have an ongoing security incident at Arlanda. The police are on site and handling it, says Ellen Laurin, press spokesperson at Swedavia.

According to Swedavia, air traffic is operating as usual with the exception of occasional delays.
