Of all the ways to travel, the SJ train is the worst, according to the Swedish Quality Index, SKI, a survey of how satisfied travelers are.
SJ has a customer satisfaction index of 55.9, which according to SKI indicates that the company has great difficulty in getting customers to stay.
The best travel option is long-distance buses, where the index for Nettbus4You is 74.9 and Nettbus Express is 72.1.
Aviation is also doing quite well. The airline BRA is at 70.0, and SAS at 69.7.
What is important for travelers is how disruptions and delays are handled. 75 percent of SJ's customers have experienced delays, compared to 50 percent for SAS.
”"Although both SAS and SJ have a high proportion of delays, SAS is much better at providing information in connection with delays, which SJ does not. Information in particular is a challenge for many companies, which may seem a bit strange considering all the types of communication channels through which customers are reached today," writes Johan Parmler, CEO of the Swedish Quality Index, in a press release.
The study was conducted in April and is based on 2,222 interviews.
