A brief interruption in the power supply to Arlanda's control center meant that no planes could take off or land on Thursday afternoon.
The outage occurred just after 3:30 p.m. and lasted just under 15 minutes, according to Per Fröberg, press communicator at the Swedish Civil Aviation Administration.
– We don't know more than that it was a short outage. The assessment is that it shouldn't have affected traffic because the power came back on quickly.
The routine during an interruption is that planes in the air are allowed to land, but otherwise traffic is at a standstill. This time, it should not have led to any problems.
The Civil Aviation Authority is investigating the reason behind the error.
